KYOS, based in the US, is positioned to become one of the most innovative and impactful Web3 ecosystems in the world: disrupting how young adults learn, organizations hire, and educators teach. Inspired by Koios, the Greek titan of intelligence and farsight, KYOS will use ubiquitous technologies to equip motivated learners, particularly in developing countries, with highly employable skills they need to grow their careers with employers in their home country and around the world.

Systems design

Core responsibilities

Creation of the overall solutions architecture of the technology underpinning the KYOS ecosystem
Development of UI/UX models for all stakeholders, focused on defining core functionalities, process flows and look and feel requirements, in collaboration with app and Web3 capability development team members
Determining specific technologies that will be used across front end, back end, and token management (including Web3 stack, blockchains and smart contract programming languages used) and licenses as required
Development of implementation plan and resource requirements for build, launch, and post-launch, in context of broad view of long-term roadmap
Continued monitoring of technology development progress, with focus on optimization and issue detection

Experience and expertise

Demonstrable evidence of experience in developing a decentralized application and/or writing smart contracts

Web3 capability development

Core responsibilities

Defining app functionality and performance criteria based upon initial hypotheses developed and market feedback received to date (token management and other Web3-related capability)
Development of implementation plan and resource requirements for build, launch, and post-launch, in context of broad view of long-term roadmap
Development of beta versions of smart contracts on selected blockchain(s), in collaboration with other workstreams to integrate market feedback

Web3 ecosystem development

Core responsibilities

Study and provide feedback on initial token allocations to different stakeholders, including initial founders, Core Team, initial tech / courseware developers, investors, ongoing DAO operations, and community (Learners, Educators, Employers)
Identify, assess and choose the appropriate legal structure(s) and jurisdiction(s) that will enable KYOS to mature and serve its stakeholders smoothly and effectively
Leveraging best practices in other Web3 ecosystems to develop agreements or contracts that Core Team members will execute and adhere to, outlining working relationship, services provided, compensation, intellectual property and other related concerns
Refining and finalizing KYOS tokenomics, including: a) maximum supply over time; b) burn-mint mechanisms; c) how tokens are earned or spent by different stakeholder groups; d) and more
Determining initial DAO decision-making processes and other rules of engagement, especially those related to the Core Team cadence, structure, and functions
Review, assessment and selection of technology frameworks and specific technologies / protocols that will be used to manage the DAO’s activities
Translation of tokenomics rules into algorithms to be implemented in KYOS smart contracts, in collaboration with the Web3 capability development team

Core responsibilities

Courseware delivery model development, including taxonomies, course / lesson requirements (content + mastery assessments, high-level pedagogy / methodologies), roadmaps / pathways, integration with crypto wallets, course competition / rating, high-level courseware development guidelines / KSFs, and token compensation
Identification and rationalizing of prioritized categories and skills that will be available upon the launch, along with the potential list of other categories, disciplines and skills that will be introduced as the ecosystem continues to mature
Identification of potential courseware providers, which could include DAO core team members, individual educators, and established edtech app providers
Creation of a courseware prototype incorporating proposed courseware delivery model, which will be used for demonstrations to potential Employers, Learners, Educators and Investors

Development and execution of the overarching KYOS DAO strategy

Building a database of pilot Learners who fit our target profiles to test out app functionalities, courseware content and other relevant aspects of the ecosystem
